We decided to buy the UU Mini Mart Mask holder because we figured out that we might need it!

Singapore during Covid-19 Pandemic

Singapore was greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic leading to the circuit breaker. Everyone was worried about their loved ones, and it was also the time where everyone was regularly watching the news on TV for updates from the governments.

During the circuit breaker, couples have to sacrifice from not meeting their partner, many took no paid leave involuntarily, and some were even dismissed from their company. Our Singaporean Muslims must sacrifice their Hari Raya celebration from visiting their loved ones. We were all trapped at home.

However, before the pandemic, we do not spend much time at home because everyone was either busy working or schooling. We have to admit that the situation got us closer, strengthening the bond between our family. As we sat down at the dining table, having dinner talking about a common topic.

Nonetheless, we must especially thank our frontline workers who continue to fight the virus for us and taking care of our elderly that still go for their daily health check-ups. Thanks to them, Singapore is now stabilising which means that the virus is under control. A little message to everyone, let us do our part in preventing Covid-19 from spreading by wearing our mask at all times!

Design

The mask holders are available in three designs. The Banana Mania, Juicy Momo, and Cheery Cherries. We got all three mask holder designs at a combo price of only $6! We do not have to wait too long to get our mask either, as it came through as standard local postage reaching us within a week. During our first unwrapping of the mask holder, we are amazed at how remarkable the quality of the material is!

Currently, only the fruity-friends series of designs are available. However, we hope that UU Mini Mart will release new designs in the future that is just as adorable!

The mask holder came in three different adorable designs suitable for any gender. It is devised and manufactured to be the size of a credit card when folded. Fitted for disposable or reusable mask and fits nicely in your pocket, so you would not have to worry about getting your face mask dirtied. Now you can forget all the fuss on the aged old question, like "Where do I put my mask?"

Review

We have been using the mask holder for almost a week now. Their small size makes it convenient to store anywhere. In our pockets, handbags, small bags, etc. Unfortunately, without our face mask, there is no elastic band attached to the holder to keep it folded and compact, leaving the mask holder being flimsily open in our bag. After multiple uses, we realised that the design was slowly fading away which makes it less durable.

We tried it with three different types of masks to test usability. They are the white reusable mask and black reusable masks given by the Singapore government, as well as the blue surgical mask.

These are the result:

We can safely say that it works best with surgical and the white reusable mask because of its rectangular shape. The black reusable mask was not the best fit because the elasticity of the band was not stretchy enough to stretch around the mask holder easily.

It is really aesthetic and light to bring anywhere we go. Therefore, we will continue using it and recommend others to try it too! 😊
